A few weeks ago I was up on the north coast of Cornwall at a delightful venue called Fentafriddle, for the wedding of Julie and Ben. There's probably not a much better venue in the whole of Cornwall for a marquee wedding, as the views down over the sea are spectacular. I had a great time with Julie and Ben, and loved capturing their friends going pretty wild on the[...]
Sophie and Hugh had a fab day yesterday, the weather staying nice and dry for their ceremony at St Mellanus Church, Mullion, and reception at Crasken Eco Farm. I had a great time meeting lots of Australians, witnessing one of the best church readings ever, taking some lovely cliff-top photos, and being treated to one of the best lamb meals I've ever had! I look[...]
I read this article on WantThatWedding.co.uk last week, and thought I'd drop a few thoughts on the blog about it, because I found the topic - about banning all wedding guests from taking photos on your day - to be, in a word (well, two words) quite ludicrous. You may want to check out the article above to see what they originally said, and then pop back over he[...]
I was at a beautiful cliff-top venue on Saturday, for the wedding of Julie and Ben. The venue was called Fentafriddle, and is a lovely collection of self-catering cottages on the north coast of Cornwall; their marquee had the most fantastic views over the sea. One of the highlights included a best man's speech which ended in a personalised rendition of Michael Jac[...]
On what had to have been one of the windiest days of the year (!), Claire and Steve got married on Saturday at The Blue Bar, Porthtowan. The forecast had been for torrential rain as well, but we were lucky enough to have a dry period just after the ceremony for us to jaunt up to Chapel Porth (in VW camper vans, no less!) where the above shot was taken. More sho[...]
This Saturday saw me travel down to the beautiful Church of St Hydroc, within the grounds of Lanhydrock House, for Alice and Stephen's big day. I really like this candid bridal portrait; taking shots like this - the natural, fleeting moments - is what I especially love about photographing weddings! Lots more photos to follow soon!
On Saturday I was at The Rosevine, a gorgeous venue on the Roseland peninsula, for the equally gorgeous wedding of Yen and Rich! It was the first time I'd shot a wedding there, and I hope to do lots more, as it's such a beautiful place to get married; a grand house overlooking the sea, with fantastic lawns and views. Yen and Rich had the place all to themselves[...]
We've received a great review/feature on The Wedding Secret today, a screenshot of which is below: Some of their comments include: ""Not only does he create stunning, pleasing-to-the-eye wedding stills, and attend weddings for their full duration for no extra cost, he provides all this with an impeccable, friendly disposition." "...impeccable, artistic an[...]
We've had one of our weddings featured in Pure Weddings magazine this month, which is distributed with Cornwall Life and Devon Life. It's always fantastic to see our photography in magazines, and this particular wedding was Gemma and Tom's great day at Pendennis Castle. A photo of the feature is below:
Honoured to have one of my photos chosen to feature on Your Perfect Wedding Photographer's 'Wedding Photos of The Week', see the screenshot of the feature below: And here's a larger version of the photo, from Lynne and Matt's wedding in North Cornwall:
Just a very small post to say that one of our weddings (Gemma and Tom's fantastic day at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth) was featured on the brilliant Cornish wedding blog, 'Pasties and Petticoats'. Here's a screenshot of the feature, below.
