I’ve said it a billion times before, but, for me, weddings are all about the people – emotions, interactions and relationships. The frame above is of a bride and her daughter, just having a little downtime before the wedding breakfast; it’s simple, classic – and yet an image that really resonates with me. Their closeness, that bond… I hope it comes across in an image like this. Having me there for your day is like having a wedding photographer and family photographer all in one, I guess, as it’s moments like this that I absolutely adore.
Technique wise, I got down low to shoot on their eye level, and I think the airy black and white conversion lends itself really nicely to the mood.
But technique, camera settings and post-production don’t matter a jot at the end of the day – for me, it’s all about the moments.
Such a beautiful moment captured.
Cheers, Mona; very kind!
