I’ve always wanted to blog a wedding purely in black and white; there’s just something about it that I love. If you follow my work (perhaps over on Facebook) you would’ve probably noticed that a lot of the images I put up are black and white…I love the fact that the medium strips away the distraction of colour, that you’re forced instead to see the emotion, the action, the drama, the light.
That all sounds rather heavy; a much simpler way would be to say that I just love black and white wedding photography! So I thought I’d blog an entire wedding purely in that format; welcome to Kate and Steve’s wedding at Kew Gardens, London, solely in b & w. I did, of course, supply an entire colour set to Kate & Steve as well; these are just a small selection of some of my favourites, with nary an orange, red, blue…or, well, you get the idea… in sight.
By the way, if you’re interested in seeing more of my work from the big smoke, you can see my wedding photographer London galleries.
Lovely as ever Mr Law – lovely use of light and I too love the all B&W theme!
Alan this set took my breath away. The last image is absolutely stunning. As is the one with the dress hanging on the window. They all are, truly. And I have been waiting on the perfect wedding to try and post black and white ones too, but it only works with certain weddings and in this one it makes it even more crazy emotional! Absolutely brilliant! So much skill and yet you never seem to surprise. I love each photograph you create with a new burning passion! You are so gifted! Thank you for inspiring me everyday!
Creative stuff – and very powerful 😀 Top work Alan – it’s always a pleasure seeing your latest work
Great work. I love your use of space especially in the first dance photos. Fab stuff
Great work and great idea converting whole thing in B&W!
