Looking Back at 2012: Getting Ready

I can’t believe how quickly 2012 went by; easily the quickest year of my life. I think the birth of my first child – the beautiful Annabella – in January, had a large part to play in how fast each day went by, but I was also kept very busy with lots of fantastic weddings.

2013 is already shaping up to be even busier, and will see me shoot weddings throughout Cornwall at venues such as The Eden Project, Caerhays Castle, Crasken Farm, Fifteen, The Rosevine, Polhawn Fort, Carn Marth, Penventon Hotel, Pendennis Castle, Trelissick, Feock Church, Lanhydroc Golf Club, The Carlyon Bay Hotel, St Enodoc Church, Mousehole, Altarnun Church, The Vean, Boscundle Manor, Newquay Church, St Ives Harbour Hotel and more…

I’m also going to be on my travels, with a couple of weddings in Devon, one just north of Liverpool, one in Oxford, and a journey over the channel for a wedding in the South of France – all very exciting!

So, I thought I’d start the year off with a look back at 2012, starting with some of my favourite shots from the ‘Getting Ready’ time. I really love covering the bridal and groom preparations; I love capturing all the excitement, nerves, busyness and laughter – really one of my favourite parts of the day. I’ll be featuring more of my faves from 2012 over the next couple of weeks, but, for now, I hope you like this selection:

*Update: My selection of favourites from 2012’s ceremonies are now up on the site, too. Update 2: The third part of my 2012 review is now also live, this time focusing on the Couples and Cocktails.
