Ah, blogging, and every photographers’ conundrum about how to get phrases such as ‘wedding photographer Burgh Island’ naturally in their text, so that Google shows them some love. Let’s see if you can catch me at it 😉
Burgh Island, though – what a venue! There are not many places in the world where you can get married on your very own island – separated from the Devon mainland by the tide (and very romantically only accessible by sea tractor when the tide is in). Burgh Island Hotel itself is very cool, too – think art deco, cocktails-watching-the-sunset kind of vibe. Agatha Christie apparently wrote two of her novels on the island as well.
So yes, Charlotte & Grant chose well, and it was so lovely to see all their family and friends making the most of their own island for the day (and night!). There was a real theme of close family, with Charlotte’s sister singing in the choir (and solo during the ceremony) – and I loved her Dad’s reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time. Loved all his reactions throughout the day, actually – one of my favourite Burgh Island wedding photographer shots is of him laughing below.
Talking of which – so much laughter! That’s what all the best weddings have, and I know I’ve said it quite a few times, but it really is such a joy to be surrounded by happiness and laughter every weekend, it really is.
But anyway, enough of my words! If you’re looking for a wedding photographer Burgh Island, then here are some of my favourite shots from their day:
