Two weddings blogged in a week…that has to be some kind of personal record!
Today we’re going back to May this year; a beautiful sunny day at Polhawn Fort, Cornwall, for the very lovely Kelly and James. The week before, I had been in France (you can see some images from my time as a Chateau Soulac wedding photographer here) and it had rained all day…and here, back in the UK, the sunshine was endless! You just never know what’s going to happen with the weather, but it should never – ever – be an issue; virtually all wedding photographers have photographed weddings in all different kinds of weather conditions; you should just be able to relax and enjoy your day, knowing that everything is going to be captured naturally – yet creatively – no matter what the skies may throw at us.
But anyway, I digress!
Kelly & James didn’t only have great weather; they had a brilliant bunch of family and friends around them to help celebrate 🙂 I thoroughly enjoyed being around these people all day; was made to feel so welcome, which is always lovely. Their chosen venue – the fab Polhawn Fort in Cornwall – is somewhere that I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph at lots of times – as well as being in a beautiful location (with its own private beach!), its relaxed rules mean couples can really make it their own, rather than being regimented like a lot of other wedding venues. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for a relaxed, unique wedding venue in the UK.
Anyway, enough of my words; here are a selection of some of my favourite photos from my time as Kelly and James’ Polhawn Fort wedding photographer:
