Wedding Photographer Dinham House
A brand new year and a brand new blog post! Anna & George got married at the fab Dinham House in Cornwall – an outdoor ceremony with just the most remarkable views over the water. But along with the emotional ceremony and serene views, there also came a massive party – so much fun to capture!
“Wow wow wow! These are AMAZING! Thank you so much Al – George and I both shed a tear watching the slideshow. You captured it all perfectly and we can’t thank you enough!”
Some of my favourite Dinham House wedding photography is below – all 100% natural captures – and, as I’ve been doing in a lot of my recent blog posts, I’m going to write a bit more about some of the individual photos as well.
As I mentioned, their ceremony was out in the grounds – such an amazing place to say ‘I do!’ – and this is a shot from Anna’s arrival. I love to capture moments of emotion like this, and I’ve purposely composed the shot so we can see George in the foreground – telling more of the story within a single frame.
The ubiquitous selfie! Group photos are always so much more natural when they’re being taken by friends, and I love this example. I raised the camera high here to get everyone’s faces, along with the view in the background.
Sometimes you just need that little bit of extra height!
It’s always my goal to get creative captures; images that your friends and family just won’t be getting. This is a moment during prep, and I love the way that the mirror meant I could compose a shot of everyone – with a lovely laugh and moment shared.
Did I mention there was quite the party…? I love it when the drinks flow and the action gets wild – and I love to get close like this, as the images are just so much more intimate than if I was standing miles away with a long lens.
A 100% natural moment as Anna & George walked from the end of their ceremony over to the marquee.
After the speech, comes the embrace.
Pre-ceremony, their family and friends enjoyed a drink or two at the marquee, and this is them all walking up to the ceremony. I like the composition here, drawing your eye to the marquee and people, then back down to the grass, and back up again.
Final touches to the dress – a quite moment that really lends itself to black and white, I think.
I’ve mentioned it lots before, but in case this is your first time here: I love to capture ALL the romance, not just the couple’s! Here two guests are getting close on the dancefloor, and I’m there to capture it. Honestly, capturing the love in the air at weddings is one of my very favourite things to do.
