Destination Wedding Photographer
I still find it slightly ridiculous that a camera has occasionally allowed me to photograph weddings in places people spend years saving up to visit.
From small gatherings abroad to multi-day celebrations with guests travelling from all over the world, destination weddings often have a different feel to weddings at home. People are away from their routines, they’re usually together for longer, and there tends to be a sense that everyone is determined to make the most of it.
For a documentary photographer, that’s a gift.
People relax. They spend more time together. Things happen.
The weddings below were photographed in various corners of the world, but what links them isn’t the location. It’s the relationships, the emotion and the moments that happened naturally without anyone being asked to do anything for the camera.
Different countries. Different cultures. Different weather. Same human stories.
