Welcome to part three of my review of 2012, this time focusing (pun intended!) on that time just after the ceremony, where the newly married couple can enjoy some cocktails with their guests. It’s also a time where many couples choose to take a few minutes alone – well, I’m there too to capture it of course, but my style is very un-posed and natural; I prefer to get ‘real’ shots of the couple together, rather than the stiff, ‘look at the camera’ shots that have no feeling to them. Therefore, for a lot of this time, I’m hanging back just letting the newlyweds ‘be’ – capturing the natural moments that, for me, make for much better, truly genuine images.
