Wedding Photographer Stanlake Park & Vineyard

Ah such a fun and relaxed day, this was! I had photographed Ellie & Jonathan’s friends’ wedding a year ago, and that was also a super-relaxed day – it was really lovely to reconnect with that couple at this wedding as well, actually.

Ellie & Jonathan were so laid-back – they just wanted me to blend in and capture everything naturally, as it happens, which is exactly what I love. They didn’t even want any portraits (or what I call ‘couple time’) – they just wanted to enjoy their day and totally forget about the camera, which – again – is perfectly great with me! (Although a lot of my couples want some time for some shots of just the two of them (which I also do in a very relaxed way, without posing you), some don’t want any at all – and that’s great, I don’t force anything upon you in terms of coverage).

It was my first time as a Stanlake Park wedding photographer, and I look forward to working again there in the future; the venue has a really lovely feel to it, with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony space, and a fab barn for the wedding breakfast and evening shenanigans. Lovely gardens too, and the vineyard, of course, all add up to it being a really fab venue – can massively recommend if you’re still on the venue hunt.

Some of my favourite Stanlake Park wedding photography from their day is below. I like how they naturally had confetti thrown on them as they walked back down the aisle – the top shot – I think that’s a really nice way of doing it (and they were also blessed with some gorgeous light as well). The very bottom shot is also an example of how you just don’t need that separate ‘couple time’ or portrait-time; I can still capture totally natural moments of you both together, as that image shows. Ellie & Jonathan had no idea I even got that shot of them kissing – and that’s my goal for the whole day, to capture moments, relationships and emotions without you even being aware I’m doing so. Just enjoy your day, forget about the photography, and know that everything is being captured totally naturally.
