Rhinefield House Hotel Wedding Photographer, Hampshire / Pippa & Aziz

Rhinefield House Hotel Wedding Photographer

Back on the blogging train today, as I feature the lovely summer wedding of Pippa & Aziz at the fab Rhinefield House Hotel, New Forest, Hampshire. These two are so lovely, and such a pleasure to be around – gave me a little warm glow every time I saw them together; such a delight to be able to capture their day for them.

It was my first time as a Rhinefield House wedding photographer, and I look forward to going back there again – a really grand venue, in truly stunning grounds. It’s set amidst 40 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and tranquil woodlands and is a stunning backdrop for weddings, with its sweeping lawns, ornamental ponds, and tall trees. The location in the New Forest provides a peaceful and idyllic atmosphere for couples and their guests, too.

The house itself is a Grade II* listed mansion that dates back to the 19th century, boasting a rich history and architectural splendour, combining elements of Tudor and Gothic styles. The grand exterior and interior of the house add a sense of grandeur and sophistication to wedding celebrations, that’s for sure.

“Without a doubt, they are even better than we expected. You managed to capture all of the events (big and small) but, more importantly, you captured the feeling of the day. Looking through the gallery feels like reliving the day and we can’t thank you enough for that. We are very, very pleased that we chose you as our photographer!” – Pippa & Aziz

Some of my ramblings regarding the Rhinefield House wedding photography below:

  1. Pippa looking lovely as she puts on her earrings in the mirror – just another reminder that my style (all about capturing your day totally naturally) means I can capture people looking their best, as they’re not posing, or putting on fake smiles; but rather, being themselves, which is where the real beauty lies.
  2. A lovely hug just after being pronounced husband and wife. I’ve purposely included the registrar in the foreground which gives the image more depth, and also shows the context of them getting married.
  3. Although I’m all about photographing your day in a documentary way, some of my couples still want some photos of just the two of them – and that’s totally cool, of course! If you want this, I don’t take you away for hours, but instead usually just have a little walk around your venue for about 10 mins – this is an example of that. Stunning grounds at Rhinefield – and, on a personal note, like a lot of wedding photographers who work long days with little food, I love a McDonald’s on the long drive home after a wedding, so it was fun to see the fountains pre-empting my late-night meal to come…!
  4. Lovely light, a lovely couple; boom!
  5. It’s incredibly rare that I show any detail shots on my website – because weddings, for me, are all about the people. I always take the details shots too, though, of course, as I appreciate the time and effort that goes into choosing and planning them; it’s just that I rarely show them here. But this cake shot is one that I just had to share, because, well, the light! Such a dramatic shaft of light on the cake, and coupled with the grand dining room, makes for an impactful image, I think.
  6. Emotion, emotion, emotion. Aziz’s brothers during the speeches.
  7. Hear no evil, see no evil…! Aziz and his Best Man getting roasted by Pippa in her speech. Love seeing brides do a speech!
  8. Gotta get the twirl shot during the first dance!
  9. I love all the happy faces as their family and friends watch their First Dance here.
  10. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: It’s not just the married couple who feel the love on a wedding day. Here, I’m capturing two guests share a kiss, whilst they were totally oblivious to me taking it. I want to be able to capture all these little moments; weddings are not just about the couple.
