Boconnoc House Wedding Photographer
Boconnoc House & Estate – what a venue! It was my first time as a wedding photographer there for Angela & Darren, and – wow – what a place. Set in acres of land, the house itself is super grand, but it also has its very own church right on site, too, so all your family and friends only need to walk between ceremony and reception.
Lots of laughter in their day, which I just adore to capture – I think virtually every image in the below selection contains someone laughing, actually! Although there is also a very contrasting shot in the selection, too: No. 6, which I could call ‘Not Best Pleased’… love the expressions on the boy’s face; don’t think he’s too enamoured to be holding hands, ha! As always, I’ve not posed or setup this shot (or any of the others); it was just a scene I came across and captured.
I also love the laughter in the speeches, and the one with the projection of Darren doing the Full Monty – honestly, you just never know what you’re going to see as a wedding photographer!
“Hey Alan,
I just had a quick run through the photo’s, as I’m supposed to be working!! They are fantastic, we love the humerous ones too. We are really delighted with them. Can’t wait to get home and have a proper look though them. Thank you so much, I think you have really captured the pair of us well and they all look very natural which is what we wanted. We will post some good feedback on your webpage and facebook over the weekend.
Thank You” – Angela
Boconnoc House is right in the heart of the Cornish countryside, near Lostwithiel. The expansive estate covers approximately 750 acres of beautiful landscapes, including woodlands, gardens, and rolling hills. The house itself is a Grade I listed building with a rich history that dates back to the early 14th century. The venue offers a range of options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions, with couples able to choose various locations, such as the walled garden, the drawing room, or the stunning Stable Yard marquee. Each space provides its own unique atmosphere and can be tailored to suit the couple’s preferences.
“Alan, the photographs of Angela and Darren’s wedding are amazing. Thank you for the memories.” – Angela’s Mum
