UK Weddings
One of the things I enjoy most about photographing weddings is that no two are ever quite the same.
Over the years, weddings have taken me all over the UK – from city centres to tiny villages, castles to community halls, luxury venues to family gardens. Sometimes the location becomes a huge part of the day. Sometimes it barely matters at all.
Because once the ceremony starts, the speeches begin, and the dance floor fills up, weddings tend to become about the same things everywhere: family, friendships, emotion, nerves, laughter and people trying unsuccessfully to pretend they’re not crying.
The weddings below come from all over the United Kingdom, but they’re connected by something much more important than geography. They’re all real moments from real weddings, photographed exactly as they happened.
That’s what interests me most. Not where a wedding takes place, but what unfolds once everyone arrives.
