A lush, rustic venue in Surrey, a woodland ceremony, buckets of sunshine, with all your nearest and dearest around you to watch you get wed… what more could you want?
Yes, Jess & George had it all, and I loved being their Ridge Farm wedding photographer (and I’m now fortunate to be one of their recommended photographers; looking forward to shooting again there soon!). Ridge Farm itself is fab, with so much space and lush greenery – including the aforementioned woodland area where Jess & George had their ceremony; one of the prettiest outdoor wedding venues I’ve had the pleasure to shoot at, actually. There’s also lots of other buildings where family and friends can stay on site, and where the couple can get ready in – with space for camping and tipis too.
As a cool ‘did you also know’, Ridge Farm used to be a recording studio, with seminal bands including the likes of Queen and Oasis recording there – very cool if you’re a music fan 🙂
Some of my favourite Ridge Farm wedding photography from their day is below; I loved how they had some of their speeches outside, and one of my favourite photographs is the one of George embracing Jess during her speech, with their baby between them. Ahhhh! I’ve said it before, but wedding photography really is so much more than just photographing the couple!
