Wedding Photographer Caerhays Castle
Ah what magical light at St Just in Roseland Church for Amy & Chris! As you’ll see from some of my favourite shots from their day below, there was this beautiful shaft of light during the ceremony – really dramatic. I’ve shot a few weddings at St Just in Roseland Church – which really is one of Cornwall’s most beautiful churches, right by the waterside – and I’ve always had lovely light there, but this was extra special.
After their ceremony, Amy & Chris had their reception at the fab Caerhays Castle; which is a popular wedding venue in Cornwall – a historic castle surrounded by beautiful gardens and picturesque views of the coastline, making it a stunning backdrop for weddings and other special events. The castle itself is a Grade I listed building with a rich history dating back to the early 19th century. It features a distinctive architectural style, blending elements of both Gothic and Tudor design. The castle’s grandeur and historic charm provide a unique atmosphere for wedding celebrations.
It was my first time as a Caerhays Castle wedding photographer, and I hope to be back there again soon – I mean, how many people get married with a Castle *and* the beach for their backdrop? I feel so lucky living and working in Cornwall; fab to have such unique venues as this on my doorstep.
As always, my wedding photography is all about capturing the moments of your day naturally – yet creatively – whilst you just enjoy getting married. No poses, not asking you to look at the camera; I just want you to not think about the photography at all, but just relax knowing it’s all being captured ‘as it happens’. I think this selection of Caerhays Castle wedding photography shows a good example of my approach here, and I hope you enjoy looking through them.
